Description
This tour is a perfect overview about Nice’s history, culture, architecture and other stories. The area is walkable and you will discover the Capital of the French Riviera in an easy and confortable manner. Enjoy the atmosphere of the colorful food-and flower-market (except on Mondays), dive into this very “Italian style” old town, walk on the famous Promenade des Anglais and admire some of the wonderful Belle Epoque façades along the Sea side.
Itinerary
Start your walking tour on Massena Square, the essential meeting point in the heart of Nice and dive into the Old town where colorful Baroque churches, houses, palaces and markets are the trademark. Stroll through the narrow and shady streets, feel this Mediterranean atmosphere and walk then up to the former medieval part of the city, the famous Castle Hill (optional) and enjoy that exceptional panorama over the so-called “Baie des Anges” (Angels’ Bay), the city of Nice and its surrounding hills. Possibility to sit down for a drink (not included).
We will go down to the Old town, stroll along the Green Mile back to Massena Square in direction to the “Symbol of Nice”, the renowned Promenade des Anglais and admire the views on the Mediterranean Sea and the Belle Epoque villas and hotels on the other side.
