Tour Description

A real good experience to enjoy the flavor of Italy and discover the habits of native people. Overflowing with colours, exotic aromas and flowers from the South of Italy. The warm welcome given by the local shopkeepers gives a glimpse of the Italian conviviality.

You will start with a stroll through a picturesque street market where you can get bargains especially for leather goods, fashion accessories, shoes and clothes … at least you prefer savoring delicious fruits and local cheese.

Take a break for a veritable Italian Cappuccino or Latte Macchiato.

Market days: Tuesday, Friday and Saturday

We’ll head then further to Dolceacqua, a beautiful medieval village on the Nerva river where Monet painted the famous bridge at the entrance of the old town. Stroll on the shady cobbled street of the village, discover some of the artists and stop maybe for a nice Italian lunch.

Return via the coast road to charming Menton, the “Pearl of the Riviera”, stroll down the pedestrian street, a must for all visitors to Menton as it is packed with shops and extends from the sea front to the “Biovès garden” where are exposed the Lemon and Orange sculptures in February.

Itinerary

In this private tour, discover both exceptionnel sites, the Italian and the French Riviera highlights through the eyes of a local private guide. Enjoy the visit of the market in San Remo or Vintimille. Stop for a nice walk in the charming city center for a real Italian coffee and drive then back on the coast-road towards the perched village Dolceacqua and its very cobbled streets. Discover the jewel Menton and finish your day there with a relaxing walk through the beautiful pedestrian area of the city of Lemons.
