Today, Cannes is known all over the World thanks to its famous International Film Festival and its red carpet on the grand staircase of the Congress and Convention center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But there is also the old town to discover, with its charming boutiques and restaurants and a beautiful panorama from the hill of Le Suquet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Itinerary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s start the Walking tour at the so-called Film-Festival-Palace and take some pictures at the famous staircase. We\u2019ll continue then on the Croisette, the cosmopolitain boulevard where fashinable boutiques, luxury residences and hotels are facing the Sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the way to the old town, enjoy the commercial heart of Cannes by walking along the Rue d\u2019Antibes and rue Meynadier. Have a coffee at one of the numerous bars on our way (not included). Stop at the local food market Forville (open in the morning except on Mondays) before starting the smooth climb towards the Suquet from where you will enjoy a beautiful panorama of the city and its old port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walk then along the Quay St Pierre built in 1838 thanks to Lord Brougham in direction to the old port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Possibility to extend the tour to the L\u00e9rins islands (Saint Honorat or Sainte Marguerite) by boat (ticket not included)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saint Honorat:&nbsp;visit the this small island which has been for eight centuries the seat of the Bebedictine monks who governed Cannes an its surroundings and discover the remains of their fortified manastery.
